"Where's Waldo?" is a series of children's books by Martin Handford. In these books, readers are given the task of finding Waldo in the midst of crowded spaces. Students created self portraits and placed them on the bulletin board. Mrs. Walker is dressed in the distinctive red and white stripe clothing similar to that of the original Waldo. Can you find her?

After exploring the art of Australia, 7th Grade Students used dowel sticks and Q-tips to recreate the distinctive style of painting used by the Aborigines. Students constructed didgeridoos and rain sticks using cardboard tubes, tape, plaster gauze, rice and straight pins. The project was a success! 7th Grade Advanced Students participated in the annual Lions' Club Peace Poster Contest. Here are a few examples to illustrate just how hard they worked! Positive and Negative Space were the focus in this one day assignment. After viewing several examples and a teacher demonstration, students created a visually balanced composition using black and white construction paper. I loved seeing what these creative minds came up with! |
